The July Book Blowout comes to a close

July Book Blowout

July Book Blowout

Thanks to everyone who took part in the inaugural July Book Blowout – it’s been a lot of fun!

There are still a few hours to go until midnight but I thought I’d stop by and post the instructions you’ll need to follow to confirm that you have completed the challenge.

Step 1: Take the survey

Ok first up – I’ve created a small survey to get an overview of everyone’s activity during the Blowout – follow this link to complete it (don’t worry no one but me can see your details). You have until August 15th to complete it at which point I’ll share the highlights here at Blue Archipelago.

Step 2: Add your name to Mr Linky

Add your name to the list so that I know you have completed the challenge. Adding your name to the list will be your entry into the draw for the $20 (£10) Amazon voucher. Now I can’t remember if I specifically said you had to meet your target to be eligible – so all participants will be eligible for the draw – as long as your name appears on the original Mr Linky as well as this one and you have completed step 1 or 3. Once again you need to add your name to the list by August 15th (I know I originally said the 7th but I’m worried about it being vacation season so I thought I’d extend the deadline).

Step 3: Wrap it up

Since you’ve worked so hard this month why not write a wrap up post (either on your own site or here in the comments).

Here’s some questions to help you out – though you’re free to write whatever you wish!

1. Did you discover a new author?

2. Where was the most unusual place you found yourself reading?

3. Did you read more than usual?

4. Did you give up anything in order to read more?

5. If you won the Amazon voucher what would you spend it on?

6. Would you like to see a 2009 Book Blowout?

Once again thanks for joining in – and be sure to stop back on August 16th for the final wrap up post and the winner announcement!
