Shotgun Shopping by Sheevaun Moran is an insight into how you can use the art of non-shopping to get what you really want in life

My Book Review Rating: 3 stars – I can appreciate the sentiment, but it’s not really my thing!

If you are a shopaholic, and you have closets lined with purchases that you bought on a whim or with the hope that you might one day be slim enough to fit into it then this book is for you.

Moran walks you through the steps you need to take to become a more effective shopper, and to ensure that the purchases you make will add value to you and your life, rather than being a drain on your bank account.

It’s a quick read – I polished it off in less than an hour – and it does contain some useful tips and insights. It all got a little bit too new age for me though in the penultimate chapters!

I love to read books - and only wish that I had more spare hours in the day to devote to this wonderful hobby. When life gets tough you'll find me with my nose stuck in a book, escaping from reality. Blue Archipelago is my reading journal, feel free to have a browse around and see if you discover something new to read, or rediscover a book that you have loved in the past.
