Review of the Year 2009
Wow – I can’t believe that 2009 is almost over! I feel that my reading efforts have been rather lacking this year; I don’t think I even took part in a challenge.
Despite that I feel it is only proper to wrap up the year with a review of all things bookish here at Blue Archipelago. So without further ado – here’s what I’ve been up to this year (thanks to Bart’s Bookshelf for the template inspiration).

Willow by Julia Hoban | Online Book Review
In this Young Adult novel, Hoban takes the very sensitive subject of self-harm and delivers a powerful story. Of how people cope with loss, of our perceptions of the world around us, and how sometimes we see things differently to everyone else, almost to the point of paranoia.

The Host: A Novel by Stephenie Meyer
When I first picked up The Host by Stephenie Meyer I have to admit to being a little confused – from the world of Vampires in the Twilight Saga we now move to alien life forms invading earth… yes, Meyer has gone sci-fi!

Passion by Louise Bagshawe
Bagshawe is back with a bang – It’s gripping, it’s thrilling, it’s trashy, it’s total escapism – and I loved every minute of it, from the first page to the last!

Now you mention it there is a certain theme with those stats, just wish I could put a finger on exactly what…
Here's hoping you get the chance to read a few more books next year, and take part in some challenges!
