About me – Clare Swindlehurst (Closet Bookworm)

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the Internet, it’s warm and cosy here so pull up a chair and stay a while.
I decided to start blogging about reading back in 2008 when I set myself a challenge – to read 50 books (any books, any genre) but at least 50 over the course of the year.
I wanted to encourage myself to read more, and to think about the novels and the storylines and what the author set out to do when he or she picked up a pen and started writing – so this website is the place where I put fingers to keyboard and write down my thoughts on each book – and hopefully encourage others to read them too.
Originally my site was called 50 Book Challenge – a little unimaginative right? I decided I needed something a little more interesting – and I settled on Blue Archipelago Reviews.
Archipelago is such a beautiful word isn’t it? I first heard it on a Counting Crows track and it conjures up in my mind an aura of peace and tranquility; a little private desert island where you can forget about your troubles.
To me that’s what books are all about; escapism – the chance for your imagination to take you somewhere else.
While you’re here why not share your thoughts on a book I’ve read using the comments at the bottom of my review – if you’ve read the same book and blogged about it then make sure you link me up!
If you have a book that you’d like me to read and talk about here at Blue Archipelago Reviews then you can click here to find out how to send me a book.
If you want to stay in touch then you can find me on Facebook and Twitter
Thanks for stopping by,
