Aside | Clear your diaries: the readathon is coming

Do you have a stack of books you’d love to find time to read? Can you clear your diary of all engagements from noon (GMT) on Saturday the 18th of October until noon on the 19th? Then you’ll be wanting to hear more about the 24 hour readathon that Dew is hosting that weekend.

The readathon brings together lots of bookish bloggers as they try and read as many books as they can in 24 hours, while Dew and her fellow helpers host book related contests and challenges and cheerleaders cheer you on to meet your goal.

I’m going to take part for the first time – though I will not be signing up for the full 24 hours – a lack of sleep is not good for my vertigo! I’ll post details of the books I plan to read nearer the time.

If you want to sign up and join in the fun head over to Dew’s site and complete the Mr Linky. She has a useful FAQ if you need some more information before joining.

Hi Clare! I’m one of the read-a-thon helpers and I’m visiting the participants to make sure they haven’t forgotten it’s this coming Saturday already, but your post makes it clear that you haven’t. Have lots of fun reading!
