Aside | Free 2-day shipping with Amazon Prime
I think Amazon is probably one of my most used Internet sites – I love the way it is so easy to shop for books – and even easier to pay for them! I’m a bit of a cheap skate though so I tend to select the free shipping option… and then wait rather impatiently for my order. If you place a lot of orders throughout the year then the Amazon Prime programme would probably be cost efficient – pay up front and then receive free 2-day shipping. Of course I’d probalby find myself buying more than usual – because hey I have to get my monies worth from the free shipping right?? *lol*
The good news is that Amazon are doing free trial so you can test out the programme before handing over your $$.
If you’re interested just click on the button over in the sidebar.
[Editor note:] Jeane has just alerted me to a slight problem with the Prime Programme (thought it was too good to be true) apparently not all items in the store are eligible! If you decide to sign up then make sure the product is Prime eligible before selecting the 2-day shipping option or you will get charged. It would be good to hear from someone who does use this programme successfully – if you do could you post in the comments please.

For those of you with Prime memberships, here’s a good website for searching for Amazon Prime items:

Thanks for the feedback Jeane – that doesn’t sound like a good experience at all! I hope you manage to cancel everything – perhaps you could put i a call to Amazon support to help?
Well, this sounded so cool i went to try it out. Not a good experience. I signed up, picked some books, set the special ordering button, and still got charged for all the shipping. Now I’m trying to cancel everything and its not working. Hope someone else has a better experience with this program, but I’m just glad I didn’t pay for membership. You have to make sure the items you order qualify.
