Introducing the Blue Archipelago Virtual Book Club
Image by dbarronoss via FlickrWhen I started Blue Archipelago in January this year it was to help me in my goal to read 50 books in 2008. I wanted to write reviews of the books to make sure I stopped and thought about what the author was trying to convey with their work rather than just rushing from one book to the next.
So far I think I have achieved part of that goal. The problem I’ve found is that to truly explore a novel and its themes you need to give away details from the book – and I pride Blue Archipelago as being a Spoiler Free zone.
So today I’m launching an extension to the site which I hope will allow me to truly achieve my goal as well as giving me the opportunity to have some interesting discussions with my readers.
I’ve decided to host a Virtual Book Club!
I shut myself away for a few hours on Saturday and after a few hours of banging and crashing (picture Caracus Potts in his shed in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) I managed to produce an online discussion forum.
If you love to talk about the books that you read then you should feel quite at home at the Blue Archipelago Virtual Book Club – and I hope you’ll stop by today and join in the fun.

Great idea! I’ve been struggling with the no spoilers thing, too. I want to discuss! Count me in.
Cool! I’m definitely in! Thanks.
