The original Nook made use of a large e-Ink display on top of a color LCD panel. Although it was an extremely popular device, the split screen wasn’t perfect for everyone. Enter the Nook Color: this is the color alternative to the Nook Touch, for those who prefer a few extra features of a tablet computer, and a better platform for viewing images. But does it stand up to its competition?

For months and months customers speculated on whether Amazon would enter the tablet market. They finally have with the announcement of the Amazon Kindle Fire, which is cheaper than many of us had imagined and comes packed full of features. The question is, does the Kindle Fire live up to the hype? Is it good enough to take some of the Nook Color’s market share and give the Apple iPad a run for its money?

20 places you can find free Kindle books and other downloads – and they’re all legal!

If you are the proud owner of a Kindle 3G then you are probably keen to load up some books to read. I was browsing online a few months back when I came across a site called The Novel Network. This site doesn’t offer free Kindle books but instead it promised that in return for $50 I could get access to hundreds of Kindle books. The site mentioned bestsellers such as The Passage, Twilight and even Harry Potter.

I couldn’t quite work out how on earth they could get access to all of these Kindle books and provide them in a membership site for such a low one-time price, but since the site was sitting on the ClickBank network I decided to give it a go (safe in the knowledge that I could get my money back if I wasn’t satisfied).

Here’s what happened next…

5 best Kindle 3G cases and covers to keep your Kindle in tip top condition

When I took delivery of my Latest Generation Kindle it was everything I wished for and more. Except for one thing. It doesn’t ship with a cover or case! Yep, not even a temporary sleeve to keep it in, once you remove the plastic sticky covers, which you need to in order to use it, then it’s open to the elements.

If you have yet to order your new Kindle then don’t make the same mistake I did. Order a Kindle case or cover at the same time so that you have something to protect your beloved Kindle 3G straight from the box.

If you already did make my mistake then you’ll be glad to know that I’ve reviewed the Kindle cases and covers on offer for the new Latest Generation Kindle and I have the results all published here to save you having to do the same.

Oh just before we get started… you need to know that the cases for the previous Kindles such as the Kindle 1, Kindle 2 and even Kindle DX won’t fit the Kindle 3, so you need to buy a case that is specifically designed for the Latest Generation Kindle 3G.

Do you want to know what the best selling, most gifted and most wished for product is over at Amazon? The Amazon Kindle.

I suppose it’s no surprise really because for those of us who enjoy reading, paperback and hardback copies of books can be a real pain. They’re cumbersome to carry around, they take up way too much space in your house, and when you go away on vacation you have to decide in advance what you want to read.

Let’s take a look at what makes the Kindle 3G so special…

How are you getting on with your Kindle 3G? I love mine and still can’t get over how much the screen feels like text on real paper, but that means that just as it’s difficult to read a real book in the dark night-time Kindle reading can be an issue too. Which is why I decided it was time to investigate Kindle reading lights. I’ve scoured the web and here for you now are the results of my search for the best Kindle light.
