Book Review | Glitz by Louise Bagshawe
Rating
5 stars – Bagshawe delivers another sensational novel
I’ve been a big fan of Louise Bagshawe ever since I got a free copy of Career Girls in a magazine several years ago. Over recent years her chick lit novels have gone from strength to strength and I know that when I pick one up I won’t be able to put it down – and Glitz did not disappoint!
Glitz is about…
Four cousins who have lived in the lap of luxury since they turned eighteen — thanks to a trust fund from their Uncle Clem. As the years pass and they become accustomed to their luxury lifestyles their Uncle drops a bombshell which could result in the loss of their beloved trust funds. The two sets of sisters must put aside their differences and work together to reclaim what they believe to be rightfully theirs.
This novel is crammed full with glamour — but underneath the glitz and designer labels is a rip-roaring tale of four girls who come to realise the true value of themselves and their family.
I’d recommend this book to…
Anyone looking for a book that will capture their attention — a light-hearted read that will keep them engrossed from the first page to the last.

Book Review | Perfect on Paper by Maria Murnane
Girls, meet Waverly Bryson, an almost 30 something with high expectations of how life and love should be. The novel opens with Waverly being jilted by her perfect fiance just two weeks before her perfect wedding, from there we are thrown into Waverly’s life – from her job in sports PR, to her relationships with her best friends Andie and McKenna, and her search for Mr Right – which involves many cringe-worthy yet entertaining dates.

Book Review | The God of Animals by Aryn Kyle
In her powerful debut novel, Kyle takes a frank look at families and relationships, secrets and the unspoken as Alice is forced to really see and understand the events that have shaped her family and how one simple act can have devastating effects and change their world forever.

Breaking Dawn
Breaking Dawn starts out with the fabulous wedding between Bella and Edward – and then takes the reader on a roller coaster ride, full of twists and turns, with a bit of blood and gore and romance thrown in for good measure.

OMG!! I just Louise’s books. They are full with romance and envy and all ‘that’. I like Sparkles the best and Glitz.
I love, love Louise Bagshawe and just saw a negative review of this the other day and was sad. So I’m glad to hear that you liked it, yay! I’ll have to get a copy. Have you read her sister, Tilly Bagshawe?
