Currently Reading | The Secret of Lost Things by Sheridan Hay
I’m reading The Secret of Lost Things because…
Earlier in the year I read lots of great reviews of this book – so I treated myself to a copy with some gift vouchers I received from colleagues at work. I’m also reading it for the I Heard it Through the Grapevine challenge. Of course it’s been a while so I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s about!
I’m still reading…
As I mentioned in this week’s Sunday Salon post I have realised that while I am enjoying Great Expectations, I can only read it when I have time to sit and really concentrate. I’m reading it during my lunch hour at work and it’s working perfectly.
I’m listening to…
Uncle Tom’s Cabin – which I downloaded from Librivox and I’m really enjoying listening to it on my way back and forth to work. It’s hard to believe this book was published in 1852.

Currently Reading | Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
When I was looking for ideas for the Classics Challenge my friend Emma suggested Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Having been turned against Dickens when forced to read Hard Times at the tender age of eleven I was a little dubious – so rather than rushing out to buy a copy I decided to listen to the novel instead – courtesy of LibriVox.

I’ve heard good things about The Secret of Lost Things too.
I’m impressed by you having two classics going at once!!

My goodness Mrs. S! You must be a, or rather THE, Book Challenge Champion. How many book challenges can one person have while seemingly succeeding with all of them? My imaginary hat comes off to you.

@Robert Burdock -
*lol* It’s really not that difficult when you choose books you were going to read anyway and read the same book for more than one challenge – that’s my secret anyway but shhh don’t tell everyone!
