Hi Linda - I can see how that book would have been hard to read as a High School teacher - I'm really enjoying the book so far - I like Picoult's writing style and the way she covers off such sensitive issues.

Thanks for visiting my blog. It's fun getting to know new people.

I totally agree with you about your favorite Picoult. My sister's Keeper is my all time favorite of hers. I bawled like a baby! I found the chapters about Jesse especially moving.

I just finished Nineteen Minutes a couple weeks ago and loved it but it was hard to read especially since I am a high school teacher! Scary!

I installed a new plugin called commentluv that links back to your site in the comments if you have an RSS feed - and every comment that had the link in ended up in moderation! Might have to tinker with that :)

@Literary Feline - thanks for visiting :)

@Ravenous Reader- as with all Picoult's books its a difficult subject - but I am enjoying it and think she is covering the issues well so far.

@Trish - that isn't actually my cover and I don't actually like it! *lol* I'm playing with Zemanta and it got that image from wikipedia - my cover is quite nice - a kind of out of focus boy and a jar with a butterfly in. It's the UK paperback version.

@Danica - *blush* I could never do the real scrapbooking stuff - looked like a 5 year old had a tantrum ;) Digital is much more me!

@Kristen - I think I've read pretty much all of hers to date and have only been disappointed by one (can't remember which!) I'm glad this is your favourite as I have high hopes for it! So far I have loved My Sister's Keeper the best - if you've not read it yet go get a copy :)

@J. Kaye - thanks for stopping by - always good to have a Jody P in your TBR - although mine don't stay there long *lol* Glad you enjoyed my scrapbooking *blush*

Oh, I like your cover of 19 Minutes much more than mine--which is deceiving if you ask me (two kids holding hands...blah!).

18 books in 15 weeks--sounds GREAT! I give thanks to blogging and reading challenges for my boost in reading since grad school (when I HAD to read that much).

Trish's last blog post..The Robber Bride - Margaret Atwood

I have Jody P.'s in my TBR pile. I am afraid by the time I get around to reading it, her next book will be here. Anyway, I love your scrapbooking!

Enjoy Nineteen Minutes! Of the four or five Picoult I've read, it was my favorite... I usually think Picoult has a hard time with endings, but I thought the ending of this one really worked. I look forward to your review!

I'm anxious to read your opinion of 19 Minutes. It was a difficult book to read (as many of hers are, aren't they?) but I did find it very moving.

Happy Sunday!

Good morning (well, it will be here for another half hour at least)! It's been a nice quiet day, thank goodness.

I am glad your book got better in the end. Have a great week!
