I am no fan of Austen. However, I woul call it better of the lot. I re-read it last year an id not dislike it.

I'm on a quest to read all of Austen for the first time. I keep reading that Northanger Abbey is completely different from the others, so maybe you'll love it?

Today was my first Sunday Salon, stop by and say hi.

I was at a talk a couple of weeks ago about this very subject and the professor speaking made the point that Austen is so rarely rated for her satire and yet that is precisely what she is doing here. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

I'm glad you are enjoying Northanger Abbey so far. I think it's funny too. I like how Austen pokes fun at everything. I hope you enjoy the rest of it!
